Margherita Pizza

Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Toppings
- 1 cup San Marzano tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt
Instructions
Mix flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Knead until smooth, about 8 minutes.
Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
Divide dough in half. Stretch each portion into a 10-inch round on a floured surface.
Spread tomato sauce, add mozzarella slices, and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Top with fresh basil and a pinch of sea salt before serving.
