Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Toppings

  • 1 cup San Marzano tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Knead until smooth, about 8 minutes.

  2. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.

  3. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.

  4. Divide dough in half. Stretch each portion into a 10-inch round on a floured surface.

  5. Spread tomato sauce, add mozzarella slices, and drizzle with olive oil.

  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

  7. Top with fresh basil and a pinch of sea salt before serving.
