Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

  3. Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.

  7. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring.
